Product Description
Carton packaging is becoming an indispensable product in production and business activities. It helps companies preserve products and bring their brands closer to customers and partly asserts their reputation in the market.
What is carton packaging?
Carton packaging is made from carton paper with 2 to 9 layers of thickness. Carton paper is made from wood fibers, with the main composition consisting of 74% paper, 22% polyethylene, and 4% aluminum. The ratio above changes to 80% paper and 20% polyethylene for carton types produced in low-temperature environments.
Carton packaging is often used to make boxes and cartons for packaging, preserving, transporting goods, and promoting companies’ brands.
The production process of paper carton boxes
Step 1: Select paper material
Paper materials are usually selected based on customer needs. It could be a 3-layer, 5-layer, 7-layer, or even 9-layer paper carton packaging if it suits the intended use.
For example, if you need paper carton boxes to hold products such as fruits, cakes, wine, beer, etc., you can choose a 3 to the 5-layer paper carton.
Step 2: Choose the carton box packaging specifications
After selecting the paper material, the shape and dimensions of the carton box need to be determined. Is it a die-cut box, a covered box, or an open-top box? The specific size will depend on the product you are storing inside.
Large boxes containing a 2.2-meter-long bed or even tiny gift boxes can be produced with advanced paper rolling technology.
Step 3: Cutting the paper
Once the paper material and box specifications have been determined, the next step is to cut the paper.
To ensure accuracy, technicians will adjust the settings on the specialized paper-cutting machine to produce paper sheets with the required dimensions.
Step 4: Printing on the paper carton boxes
This is essential for paper carton boxes containing goods and promoting the company’s brand to consumers.
The customer company will provide printing information on the box/package.
The task of the box/package-making company is to print accurately and beautifully on high-quality carton sheets.
Because the printed product is the company’s representative image in the customers’ eyes.
Step 5: Stapling, gluing, and completing
After selecting materials, determining specifications, cutting paper, and printing are completed, the final step is stapling and gluing to make a complete product.
The material used for finishing will be notified and discussed with the customer beforehand.
If the customer has different requirements, the adhesive material used can be changed to suit the customer’s needs.
Finally, the box/package will be rechecked for size and appearance before being delivered to the customer.
Characteristics and uses of carton packaging
With durability, lightness, and easy decomposition, paper carton packaging is used for boxes containing fruits, cakes, electronics, and other goods weighing from 5 to 40 kg.
In addition, we also see many office supplies boxes and gift boxes with branded logos of companies made from paper carton packaging, not only to contain items but also as an intelligent way to bring the brand closer to consumers.
